Communities of practice.

Beginning in November School Can’t Australia will be launching communities of practice groups for professionals.

Gather with a group of no more than 10 professionals who are working with students (and their families) who are experiencing school can't.

Groups will contain a mixture of professionals including: psychologists, Occupational therapists, social workers, educators, speech therapists, learning support staff.

Create shared understandings, share information about resources, consult with a brains trust, gain cross discipline insights.

Groups will be led by two parent/ carers who have lived experience supporting a young person at least one of whom will also be an allied health or education professional.

PREREQUISITE:- This group is suitable for those who have engaged in a School Can't Australia webinar in the past 12 months or who have attended Student Stress Investigation training.

This session is a pilot group and those who participate will help shape the design of SCA's Community of Practice groups for 2026. It is anticipated that these groups will run monthly during school terms.
